This program trains the undergraduate students in the fundamentals of Insurance and Risk Management . On successful completion of this course student will have many options to launch prospective careers in various growing sectors like - Financial Services (banking and not-banking) , Insurance , MNCs as Administrative Officer , Assistant Administrative Officer , Development Officer , Insurance/ Composite Agents , Insurance Surveyors , Insurance Underwriter , Investment Professionals etc. Higher education at the master degree level in India or abroad will be a value addition.

Course Duration:3 years (6 Semester) - Full time

Eligibility: 10+2 passed from any recognized Board or Council and WBCET (Conducted by West Bengal university of Technology) qualified.

AGE : Maximum age limit is 22 years and relaxable by 3 years in case of SC/ST/OBC with proper document

Teaching Mode and Aids:Beside theory and practical classes seminar and workshop is being conducted time to time. Guest lecturers from different Industry and academicians are appointed as and when required .OHP , LCD Projector , PA System is used in the theory as well as practical

Teaching Hours : 36 hours classes in a week

Examination and Evaluation:Examination and Evaluation: The course comprises of 06 semesters. The final examination of each semester is conducted and evaluated by West Bengal University of Technology. Semester and Internal Assessment Examination are held as per WBUT norms. However periodical class test, mock test, seminars, practical tests are held for continuous evaluation of the students throughout the year.

Seminar and Workshop :Following the modern global standards of education, DSMS hosts many multi-skills oriented workshops and value-based seminars. They provide exposure to the students and furnish them with the skills needed to excel in the related fields. Short-term training courses provide the students with the required practical experience.

Notes :

Payment should be made in cash/Demand Draft in favour of DURGAPUR SOCIETY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE payable at any bank of Durgapur.
(Preferable at SBI City Centre branch , Code - 6152 )
Delay in payment of any installment will incur a penalty of 5%.
If the payment is due over one month, the name of the student will be struck off from the roll and he/she has to take readmission.
The Admission Fee is non refundable in any circumstances.
The Management reserves the right to use discretionary authority for discontinuing of defaulted students.

Any legal dispute that may arise shall be subjected to the jurisdiction of Durgapur
