How to Apply

For West Bengal candidates

Prospectus and Application Forms may be obtained from (a) the College Campus, Durgapur / Kolkata Office / selected branches of SBI and AXIS Bank on payment of Rs. 450/- (OR) (b) through a letter requesting for the Form along with a DD / MO for Rs.450/- drawn in favor of Durgapur Society of Management Science, payable at Durgapur (OR) (c) by downloading the Forms from the College website at www.dsmsindia.org. The downloaded Form, duly filled in, with a DD of Rs.450/- drawn in favor of Durgapur Society of Management Science, payable at Durgapur, should be sent to the College by 13th May 2008.

Eligible candidates are required to register themselves for "WBCET, JEHOM and DSMS Management Aptitude Test (DSMS-MAT )" by submitting the Application Forms duly filled in and returned to DSMS or our local authorized counselor's office on or before the last date as mentioned in those Forms. You can also apply through our website. Please do not attach any certificates or testimonials along with the Form. Please check that the Photograph pasted on the Admit Card and the Application Form is the same. Send the Application Form through Speed Post/Courier or Ordinary Post. You are advised to reach the examination hall, 15 minutes prior to the entrance test.

Age Limit

The age-limit is 22 years as on 31/08/2008 and 25 years in case of SC/ST.

Reservation

20% of the total seats are reserved for Army/ Navy/ Air force & other paramilitary forces. Reservation for SC, ST and OBC are as per Govt. rules.

Physical Fitness

All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner as per the prescribed format given in the Information Brochure. Admission will be granted only if the candidate is found in good health.

Provisional Admission Offer

A Merit List of Applicants will be prepared, based on their performances in the various examinations. The lists will be declared after 7 days of the Admission Test. Information will be available in the College and on our web at www.dsmsindia.org. An offer letter of admission will be sent to you. Selected candidates need to take their admission within the stipulated date mentioned in the offer letter, failing which the offer of admission may be cancelled/withdrawn. Please note that candidates appearing for DSMS MAT, if selected, will be invited for provisional admission only. The registration of the other Courses are subject to being qualified in JEHOMS/WBCET, as applicable. (For details, contact Admission Cell).

Provisional Admission

Candidates qualifying the Entrance Examination, will be informed for Provisional Admission. Candidates have to furnish the following documents during the time of Provisional Admission : (a) 2 stamp/passport sized photographs; (b) 2 copies each mark sheets of the Higher Secondary (10 + 2)/Equivalent examinations.

Note: Failure to submission of any of the above documents within the stipulated date, will lead to instant rejection of the application. The Student will be required, to produce the original copies of mark-sheets & certificates during the time of Admission for verification. Students are thereby requested not to submit any false documents which will lead to immediate rejection of the application and also be liable to penal proceedings.

Any legal dispute if arises shall be subjected to the jurisdiction of Durgapur.
