Course Objective
The Bachelor in Business Administration (Hons.) in Tourism and Hospitality is a newly introduced dynamic course affiliated to the University of Burdwan, a Four Star University accredited to NAAC, UGC. It prepares students to handle the expanding world of domestic and international tourism, travel and event management.
Considering the statistical facts, the Tourism Industry itself has grown at the rate of 15% while unsurprisingly India is the hottest tourist destination globally. UNWTO effectively opened the doors for the MNCs in Tourism and Hospitality Industry to freely operate from India from 2005.
These statistical data clearly point to only one conclusion, i.e. the tremendous opportunity waiting for the Indian youth in the field.
At DSMS COLLEGE OF TOURISM & MANAGEMENT, we would provide you with technology based academic teaching and also equip you with all the practical knowledge required to thrive in the industry.

Field Study is a part of the curriculum for tourism students. We also do encourage the students to get exposure in different adventure tourism related activities like trekking, white water rafting, diving etc.
Teaching Mode and Aids
Besides theory and practical classes, seminars and workshops are being conducted from time to time; Guest Lecturers from relevant industry and academicians are appointed as and when required. OHP, LCD Projector, PA System are used in the theory as well as practical classes.

AGE Limit : Maximum age limit is 22 years and relaxable by 3 years in case of SC/ST/OBC with proper documents.

Examination :
International Assessment Examination / Gradation Test / Mock Test / Test Exam. Yearly Examination in conducted by the University.

Following the modern global standards of education, DSMS-CTM hosts many multi skills oriented workshops and value-based seminars. They provide exposure to the students and furnish them with the skills needed to excel in the related fields. Short term training courses provide the students with the required practical experience.

Notes :
- Payment should be made in cash / Demand Draft in favour of DURGAPUR SOCIETY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE
- Payable at any bank of Durgapur (Preferable at SBI City Centre branch, Code - 6152)
- Delay in payment of any installment will incur a fine of 5% for the first month of delay on due installment amount. If it is over one month, the name of the student will be struck off from the roll and he/she has to take readmission
- The Admission Fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
- The Management reserves the right to use discretionary authority for discontinuation of defaulted students.
- Any legal dispute that may arise shall be subjected to the jurisdiction of Durgapur.
